For nearly 30 years, Lexile measures are a “constant” in North Carolina

For nearly 30 years, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) has partnered with MetaMetrics to support student growth in reading and mathematics using Lexile® and Quantile® measures. As the first state to adopt the Lexile Framework for Reading when it was first launched, North Carolina has been a national leader in using data-driven tools to enhance assessments and promote literacy.
