MetaMetrics and ExploreK12 Expand Partnership to Provide Deeper Insights Into K–5 Reading Growth

DURHAM, N.C. and DALLAS, TX — October 8, 2026 — MetaMetrics®, creator of the Lexile® Framework for Reading, and ExploreK12™, a leading provider of K-12 literacy, math, and science solutions, today announced an expansion of their longstanding partnership to provide educators with a more complete view of student reading growth within Raz-Plus®, their all-in-one K-5 supplemental literacy solution.

The expanded collaboration strengthens the connection between assessment, instruction, and long-term student growth. Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, Raz-Plus will provide educators with Lexile reading measures through its new Reading Growth Assessment, administered three times per year, giving them consistent data to establish a baseline, monitor progress, and understand how students are developing as readers. 

Beyond measuring where students are today, the enhanced capabilities will help educators understand where students are headed. Growth insights will connect current and historical performance to projected reading development, helping educators make more informed instructional decisions throughout the year, identify students who may need additional support, and understand whether students are progressing toward important future milestones, like grade-level benchmarks.

Educators and school leaders will also gain additional context for interpreting student performance, including national comparisons that make growth data more meaningful and actionable. Together, these capabilities provide a clearer picture of student progress throughout the year and support more informed conversations among educators, school leaders, and families.

The enhanced reading growth assessment complements Raz-Plus instructional resources, enabling educators to use a student’s Lexile measure to make personalized instructional decisions, monitor progress, and connect students with appropriately challenging reading materials.
