Books 100L below to 50L above a learner’s Lexile measure provide an ideal level of challenge, but readers can enjoy books in a much wider range depending on their interests and motivation.

MetaMetrics boosts product visibility even further by providing book search data to booksellers and library automation providers all over the world, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Follet.

MetaMetrics enables content providers to submit, measure, and certify different types of reading and math content with a Lexile or Quantile measure. 

For books, passages, and other texts, MetaMetrics breaks down text and determines characteristics such as sentence length and word frequency to calculate the complexity of the text and produce the appropriate, certified Lexile measure. The measure also offers data on early-reading text characteristics like decodability for texts that are 650L and below.

Using our interconnected mathematics knowledge model, MetaMetrics calibrates and assigns your math materials a Quantile measure and aligns it to Common Core and state standards. The math demand of the content, such as textbook lessons, games, and other resources, is analyzed to determine the sequence of skills and concepts and the overall difficulty is assigned a Quantile measure.
